Seminars for
School Principals, Deputy Heads
and Supervisors/Coordinators

Principals are respected in society and perceived to be powerful and privileged people. But the Principal’s role is often a lonely, thankless task - frequently challenging and occasionally rewarding. Few can understand the life of a Principal unless they have sat in the Principal’s seat.

Principals are also busy people, much in demand by their constituents – parents, students, staff, and the wider community. There is little time to refresh, renew and sharpen their leadership skills. Steven Covey, in his world-wide best seller The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, tells the story of a man cutting a large tree in the forest using a large but very blunt axe. A traveller passing through the forest stopped for a few minutes to watch and then politely suggested that if he paused to sharpen the axe he would cut the tree down much more quickly and with less effort. The woodsman replied, “Oh no, I couldn’t do that, I’m much too busy cutting this tree down to stop and sharpen the axe!”

Principals, Deputy Heads and Supervisors / Coordinators are often just like that – so busy and preoccupied with their work that they feel they can’t afford to take time out to reflect, share, discuss and discover new ways of doing their jobs. Our one day seminars offer an opportunity to do just that - to take time out to explore relevant and useful topics such as those listed on the left of this page. All the Prncipals who have attended the seminars conducted in Mumbai, Pune, Thane and Ooty have indicated that they would recommend the seminars to other Principals.
